Terms of Use

Last updated 10 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Pickt app or pickt.com.au. By using Pickt you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. What Pickt does

Pickt shows restaurants near you and ranks their menu items by how well they fit the goals, diet and preferences you set. It also offers estimates for restaurants that don't publish nutrition, "How to order" tips and a home meal planner. Pickt is free during early access.

2. Not medical advice

Pickt gives general nutrition information to help you choose meals. It isn't medical, dietetic or allergy advice and doesn't replace a doctor or Accredited Practising Dietitian. Your targets are calculated with standard formulas and may not suit you.

Talk to a health professional before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, kidney, heart or other conditions, take medication affected by food, or have or have had an eating disorder. If you need support with eating, Butterfly Foundation (1800 33 4673) can help.

3. Menu and nutrition data

Please tell us when something looks wrong by tapping "Report incorrect data".

4. Allergies

Never rely only on Pickt for an allergy or intolerance. If a restaurant doesn't publish allergen information for an item, Pickt won't mark it as safe, but even published information can be wrong or out of date, and cross-contact can happen in any kitchen. Always confirm with the restaurant before you order.

5. Using Pickt

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, please use Pickt with a parent or guardian's help. Please don't:

We may limit or stop access for anyone who breaks these terms.

6. What you send us

When you add a menu or send a report, you let us use it to improve Pickt's data for everyone, including showing the resulting menu items to other users. Only send menus you're allowed to share.

7. Ownership and trademarks

Pickt's app, design, scores and compiled data belong to us. Restaurant names, logos and menu item names belong to their owners and are shown only to identify them. Pickt isn't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any restaurant shown.

8. Changes to Pickt

Pickt is in early access, so features will change. We may add, change or remove features, or stop the service, and will give notice in the app where we reasonably can. If we introduce paid features, we'll show the price and terms before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

9. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that can't lawfully be excluded.

10. Our liability

Subject to section 9, Pickt is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from relying on the information in Pickt, including reactions to food, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where our liability can be limited but not excluded, it's limited to supplying the service again.

11. Disputes and law

If something goes wrong, please email us first and we'll try to fix it. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If you live in New Zealand, you can also rely on New Zealand law and courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app. If you keep using Pickt after that, the new terms apply.
